Brocki Zurich: The City's Most Loved Secondhand & Thrift Stores

The Best Brockis in Zurich

Secondhand has become part of everyday life for many people. Sometimes it's digital and efficient, sometimes it's slow and hands-on. With Circlin, we're trying to make secondhand as simple and contemporary as possible - low effort, no friction.

And still, there are moments when nothing beats walking into a physical store. Touching fabrics, browsing without a plan, staying longer than expected. That's what Brockis are for. A bit of experience or a few solid secondhand shopping tips never hurts.

Here's an overview of Zurich's most popular Brockis, each with its own character.

1. Arche Brockenhaus

Hohlstrasse 489, 8048 Zurich · Mon-Fri 10-18.30 · Sat 10-17

For many, this is the benchmark Brocki in Zurich. Two spacious floors, a wide range of items, and a layout that feels surprisingly calm. The clothing section is particularly well organised, complemented by furniture, artwork and everyday objects. The slide connecting the two floors isn't a gimmick, it's part of the experience. And because Altstetten sits slightly outside most people's routines, good pieces tend to stay on the racks a little longer.

2. Heilsarmee Brocki Zurich

Geroldstrasse 29, 8005 Zurich · Mon-Fri 9-18.30 · Sat 9-18

Right next to Hardbrücke, busy and unapologetically packed. Three floors full of dishes, clothes and things you didn't know you were looking for - from basic wardrobe staples to unexpected fashion finds. This isn't about order, it's about volume. If you take your time, you'll almost always leave with something useful, and sometimes with something strangely perfect.

3. Brockenhalle Tigel

Hornbachstrasse 62, 8008 Zurich · Mon-Fri 10-18.30 · Sat 10-16

Located in Seefeld, with a noticeable focus on jewellery, lamps and well-kept furniture. Clothing plays a smaller role here, but occasionally turns up as high-quality secondhand pieces. Many people come specifically for the slightly higher chance of finding something special. The in-house furniture restoration and cooperative structure only become visible on a second glance - but they fit the place well.

4. Zürcher Brockenhaus

Neugasse 11, 8005 Zurich · Mon-Fri 10-18.30 · Sat 10-16

Part of Zurich since 1904 and housed in the iconic pink building on Neugasse. Strictly speaking, this is more an antique store than a classic Brocki. Fashion isn't the focus, though you'll occasionally find accessories or textiles with history. Much of what's sold is restored, and prices reflect that. Still worth visiting, if only to wander and look.

5. Basha Brockenhaus

Binzstrasse 12, 8045 Zurich · Mon-Fri 9-19 · Sat 9-15

Relatively new, but already well established. The selection feels intentional without being over-curated. Most visitors come for furniture and home accessories - pieces that don't just photograph well, but actually work in real spaces. Fashion items appear selectively, usually as individual finds rather than full racks.

6. AOZ Brockito

Robert-Maillart-Strasse 12, 8050 Zurich · Mon-Fri 9-18 · Sat 9-17

Large, messy, honest. Two floors packed with dishes, lots of clothing and furniture. Prices are low, the effort required a bit higher. If you're specifically looking for affordable fashion pieces and don't mind digging, this place rewards patience. People rarely leave with just one item.

7. Brocki Siril

Hohlstrasse 405, 8048 Zurich · Mon-Fri 10-18 · Sat 10-16

Tight aisles, crowded shelves, organised chaos. Definitely not a beginner Brocki. Those who commit to the search find things long gone elsewhere - including clothing, if you're willing to look closely. Prices are negotiable, and that's part of the appeal.

8. Brocki Garage

Feldblumenstrasse 28, 8048 Zurich · Mon-Tue 12-19 · Sat 12-18

Hidden in a residential area, with a constantly changing selection. Furniture, lamps, board games and clothing, plus seasonal highlights throughout the year. The fashion offering is unpredictable and very much luck-based - which is exactly why many people keep coming back.

9. Wehntaler Brocki

Wehntalerstrasse 397, 8046 Zurich · Mon-Sat 9-19

Hardly any online presence, but very down-to-earth. A lot feels random, some things unexpectedly good. A classic Brocki in the truest sense. Clothing is very much part of the mix: unsorted, imperfect, and occasionally a real surprise.

10. Lost & Found Sale Zurich

Albisstrasse 54 / 60, 8038 Zurich

Not a Brocki in the traditional sense, but an established part of Zurich's secondhand scene. Items sold here were never reclaimed or never delivered - sometimes surprisingly new. From single pieces to unopened suitcases, this place is all about the unknown.

Between Serendipity and Everyday Use

Secondhand doesn't always work the same way. Sometimes you want to search with intention. Sometimes you just want to see what happens. Brockis exist for those open moments - for detours, coincidences and objects with a past.

Maybe that's what connects digital and physical secondhand after all: both have their place. And in the end, it matters less where you find something than why you decide to keep it.

Good Brockis aren't defined by order or chaos - but by the fact that you come back.
